Pronunciation for  Beginners

 

1.    Words start from P ( P sounds more like PH)

Pakistan, Petrol, perfection, punishment, pilgrimage, protection, procession, Paganism, practicing, patriotism, playground, parliament, possession, photogenic, Phosphorus, pedestrian, prefecture, prosperity, perception.

 

2.    Words start from T  ( T is not a sound tee but its TH)

 

 Tree, month, beautiful, assonant, death, time, EST, fifty, thousand, fourteen, three, party, out, ist, picture, tea, the ant, star, ten, nature, Ted, mouth, city, twenty, and foot

 

3.    Words end on Ing ( usually Americans left the sound of g in ing)

ending, loving, something, ling, penguin, dancing, Washington, being, ginger, imagine, ding, kingdom, weathering, bullying, gain, building,

 

Examples:

1.    Ali is a perfect man who is on pilgrimage to Arabia.

2.    Peter is practicing in the ground.

3.    There were three stars above the tree trunk.

4.    Pakistan is a great country for building new restaurants.

5.       Petrol prices are decreasing in Pakistan
