Human life is a colorful panorama of natural beauties and human development. In modern times, life is generally divided into city life and village life. Village life is full of beauties of Nature, simplicity, and purity. City life, on the other hand, is more developed, exciting and very fast.

"God made the country and man-made the town"

(William Cowper.)

In big cities, there are good arrangements for education. There are also a very large number of schools both government and private in the big city. The well-equipped and up-to-date college even universities are available. These arrangements do not exist in small towns and villages. Cities also provide sufficient medical facilities. Almost in every city, there are good hospitals in which the poor get free medicines and treatment. Many qualified doctors are also there to serve the sick and the suffering.

Cities also provide many opportunities for amusement and recreation. In every city, there are many cinema houses, many restaurants and hotels are available for better food of variety. There are also many parks and gardens where we can enjoy the best natural beauty. Villages are always lacking such facilities.

The most important advantages of cities are the availability of huge employment opportunity. They are centers of trade and commerce as well as offices of many multinational companies. Persons with different qualifications can easily find jobs to suit them.

The city life of a big city is always growing and moving. Also, there are hundreds and thousands of opportunities for people in big cities to learn and grow. In addition, they provide a chance to grow professionally and personally. Due to the exposure in cities, people tend to be smarter, and intelligent in comparison to the people who live in small towns and villages. Besides, the life of the city is very fast and only people with smart minds can survive there.

The scope of personal growth and development is more in comparison to towns and villages. Also, these institutions give chances to each individual to participate in various activities and events that help them to explore their area of interest. Moreover, due to interaction with others, the children are more self-confident in their selves in comparison to a village or small city kids.

When you look at a city, it's like reading the hopes, aspirations, and pride of everyone who built it.

Hugh Newell Jacobsen

In big cities, there are a more profitable business and career opportunities for everyone. Which is unlike in villages and towns where the scope is limited. Many industries and companies operate in cities, which offer good job opportunities to people of different educational backgrounds.

For some, big cities suit them best. Cities have the technology that enables one to stay up to date anywhere they go, have all necessities nearby, and food stalls on every corner. In a big city, it is hard to feel alone. There is always something to do in the city whether it be shopping, going out with friends, or trying new restaurants. Cities are great for constantly learning, learned safety, and street smarts. people learned to respect people of all different cultures. There is always something going on in the city, and for some, that is just the reason they choose to live there

Life in a big city is artificial. Man is completely cut off from nature. He has no contact with the sun, the moon, and the stars. Life in a city is no doubt comfortable, but happiness is not found in cities. People in a city are always in a hurry. They do not find joy in living. They work like slaves according to a fixed routine. The smoky atmosphere and the dirty and unsanitary conditions of cities because of factories and industries are pitiable. The lack of a pure diet and fresh air are the deficiencies of cities. The poisonous and exhaust gases emitted from the vehicles result in health problems.

A city is a large community where people are lonesome together.

(Herbert V. Prochnow)

Everything has some drawbacks and problems are everywhere but these problems can be solved by honesty, education, awareness, and literacy. Thus, life in villages and cities presents two contrasting pictures. There are positive as well as negative aspects of both. But still, life in the city is very colorful and worth enjoying. In the city, life is fast and artificial. Daily life is ever too busy, and restless. One has to fight against time and pace cities are the products of civilization.
