Everyone has a favorite personality in his life as someone admires ordinarily people as their favorite personality. Like everyone, I have my favorite personality which admires and fascinates me. My beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is my favorite personality. Because he was too kind, wise, forgiving, a great father, a good husband, a leader, and mostly a merciful person. The life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a role model for every person in this world.

“Hero shows you how to solve problems yourself.”

The Holy Prophet was born in Arabia in 571 A. D. The Arabs were a race of wild tribes. They led a cruel life. They buried their newly-born daughters alive. They ill-treated women, orphans, and slaves. They worshipped Idols.  They were addicted to wine, adultery, gambling, and bloody quarrels. The Holy Prophet was sent by God to set these bad people right. He hated their cruel ways. He worked hard to reform them. He changed their habits and manners by his shining example. 

I will pen down the inspiring qualities of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that I like most and want to develop in my character. Let us discuss a few of the excellent leadership qualities of the Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH) which revolutionized the lives of millions, and still are as valuable as they were 1400 years ago.

Firstly, Prophet (PBUH) is a perfect example of good manners. Every action that he undertook in life represented the highest morals and manners that a person could exhibit. He was an Ideal being in terms of manners and ethics. As one of His companions notes about his manners:

“The Prophet (PBUH) did not swear at anyone, nor was He rude, nor did He curse anyone.” (Bukhari)

Thus if a Muslim is to give an example of the manners of someone, there would be none more suitable than Muhammad (PBUH).

He (PBUH) was an outstanding influential ruler for all people. The Apostle (PBUH) was the epitome of this leadership attribute, which is the reason why He transformed the miserable lives of Arabs and gave them the purpose of their lives.

Generosity is another hallmark of the personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He was the most generous person there could ever be. He preferred others over Himself and always fulfilled the needs of anyone who came to Him to ask for something. One of his companion's notes:

“The Prophet (PBUH) did not refuse to give anything which He had to someone if he asked for it.” (Bukhari)

In my eyes, His generosity is something that Muslims should aspire to and spread the examples of His generosity to other people as well so that the world could become a better place.

He (PBUH) always led by examples to his followers. He was always a role model and example for his followers. In the famous battle of the Trench, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) worked hard like everyone and at one point he (PBUH) lifted his shirt and pointed towards not one but two stones fastened to his stomach because of food shortage.

If we study the inspiring aspect of his (PBUH) life whether it be animals, women, children, orphans, enemies, or it is anyone in the society, every one of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was considerate to everyone. He would love children and orphans, He would treat animals fairly, He would give women their rights, He would respect the elders,

“There is nothing heavier in the scales than good character.”

Another fascinating character of the Holy Prophet is kindness and affection for all and sundry. At the time of Muhammad's birth, women in 7th century Arabia had few or even no rights. Sometimes, the right of life could be in question. The Prophet (PBUH) uplifted the status of women, from that of being the property of men to that of equal status in the society with accorded rights and dignity.

 He was patient and kind towards them and listened to their plight. The Prophet was never afraid to show his love for children, and would openly smile and laugh with them. He loved children, and always greeted them properly. He would also embrace his grandsons Hassan (R.A) and Hussein (R.A) in front of the many Arabs who at the time were not accustomed to show affection towards children, and would even carry his grandsons on his shoulders in public. The Prophet would also always be the first to greet children when he would walk the streets.

The lives of great men all remind us.

We can make our lives sublime.

And departing leaves behind us.

Footprints on the sands of time.

In conclusion, Muslims are fortunate to have a role model and perfect guide in the form of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). I always want to follow his Sunnah. Achieving the same level of success that he did is impossible for any human being but the purpose of his life is for us to study, learn and implement his virtues to succeed in this life and the afterlife.

Living in a society we face many problems. But some evils have adverse effects upon society and disturbs the peace of the world. One such deadly evil is human-created pollution. Pollution is the presence of contaminants in the natural environment that causes harm and damage and it leads to adverse changes.  Pollution is hazardous and can cause problems to the population and the environment. Environmental pollution occurs when chemicals pollute natural surroundings. Pollution disrupts the balance in our ecosystem and affects people’s lives.

Pollution has become a very common yet serious issue in today’s world. it has been there for a long time even before human evolution such as wildfire, dust storms, or even volcanic eruption. The current concern is that it is rising day by day due to various resources of pollutants. It is to say that pollution is damaging the mother earth securely and we, humans, should play our part to prevent it from happening.

There are mainly three types of pollutions

·         Air pollution

·         Water pollution

·         Soil pollution

 

Air pollution occurs due to the presence of harmful gases and substances in the air. It is due to vehicle emissions, dust, and dirt, poisonous gases from the factories. To reduce air pollution, we should use carpooling or public transport rather than using our private vehicles, we should avoid burning trash or other materials, etc.

Water pollution happens when toxic substances get mixed in various water bodies such as lakes, oceans, rivers, etc. Here toxic substances mean Chemical fertilizer, industrial waste, sewage and wastewater, mining activities, and marine dumping. Water pollution can be caused by trash that is thrown in the water or the trash that gets into the water from land. It is also caused by the detergents and soaps that people use for bathing, washing laundry, and the dishes.

Soil pollution depicts the contamination of soil due to the presence of toxic substances. Soil pollution is caused because of deforestation, excessive use of fertilizer and pesticides, and industrial waste. To maintain the soil’s fertility the government must limit the usage of fertilizers and plant more trees.

 

Pollution disrupts the balance in our ecosystem and affects people’s lives. The advancement of science and technology has made people prisoners in their world. We ruin nature without even thinking about the serious consequences it has on the environment.

Pollution is one of the main problems of the world, especially in third-world countries like Pakistan where the economy is already on the decline.  This problem is as old as one can imagine. This is the worldwide reality that exists everywhere in the world. Developed countries are also facing this problem. With time, this problem is going to be the worst. This problem has become poison for us. Because of this problem, we are facing a bad impact on the world community.

In terms of its pollution levels, Pakistan has shown numbers that have come in very poorly in the past, with many of its megacities creating vast amounts of smoke, haze, and deadly smog affect the people.

Cities such as Lahore, once known as the city of gardens, suffer terribly from pollution caused by vehicles. Fumes from burnt plastics would include chemicals such as dioxins, furans, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (polymers) as well as dangerous metals such as lead, mercury, and cadmium. Health issues would include ones such as several respiratory ailments such as pneumonia, bronchitis, emphysema, and asthma attacks.

We can overcome this problem by using these steps

      Plant trees whenever and wherever convenient, to increase oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide from our environment and eventually lessen pollution. The Prime minister of Pakistan urged the people to take part in the tree plantation campaign across the country, saying Pakistan is the sixth most affected country by climate change in the world.

      Shop at environment-friendly stores that don’t use plastic bags.

      Find products that suit you and are also eco-friendly. It’ll cause no inconvenience in the long run and will save the world from high amounts of toxic pollution.

      Throw away trash to bin even if it isn’t yours.

      There is no harm in reusing something, for instance, a disposable cup.

      The concept of three R’s which means to reduce, reuse and recycle is good to implement in our daily lives.

In conclusion, Pollution affects living things negatively. To reduce pollution in Pakistan, the government can make policies and regulations that could raise carbon tax, promote changing to different energy sources, make regulations to ban pollutants and pollution permits, and lastly changing consumer behavior by advertising other better alternatives that can be used to reduce pollution such as solar energy or buying electric cars. The ethical issue would be that pollution is affecting the world and human health. To fix the issue, the government should enforce conservation methods such as using public transportation to go places and plant environment-friendly trees.

Such a thing integral to one’s happiness is what we call a hobby. it plays a very important role in our lives. it occupies our minds when we are free and also makes us happy. Hobbies are our escape from the real world that makes us forget our worries and inspire us. They make life interesting and pleasant. They give us energy and teach us the dignity of labor.

In today’s fast and competitive world, we often get no time for ourselves. Everyone should have hobbies for everyday life. Hobby increases the pleasure of our mind, soul, and body. It increases our creativity and develops our minds.

All hobbies are useful in one way or the other. But the one I like most is gardening. I have recently developed a taste for it. It is both pleasant and economical. it gets rid of loneliness and prevents psychological problems. I just remember that when I was three years old kid I used to like spending my free time in the garden. I like so much to be in my green garden with my father every morning.

A garden is a planned plot of land adjoining a house that is used for cultivating new plants, flowers, and fruits in trees and other forms of nature. The garden consists of both natural and man-made materials. Many people pursue gardening as a hobby as this allows them to refresh their minds and be amidst natural beauty like trees, birds,

When I was so small, my parents often laughed at me when I used to pour water on the plants. But now they are so happy and proud to see me in the same garden. I do now everything so perfectly and understand the value of saving plants' life. I also understand the importance of trees how they save our lives. It’s a great way to relieve stress, set goals for yourself, and nurture something. On top of all that, growing your produce is a great way to become more sustainable at home and to reduce your environmental impact.

I have always had a love for nature and have admired flowers and plants. Gardening gives us a lot of exercise. It teaches us to work with our own hands. It brings us into close contact with nature. It is a pleasure to dig the earth to make flower beds and dig canals for water. All this is very interesting. This kind of physical exercise is delightful and enjoyable.

I water the plants and soften the ground near their roots. Then I also cut away the extra, useless branches of the trees or plants. All this keeps me physically active and smart. Birds, bugs, and bees — especially honey bees — are essential to the lifecycle of the world at large. Bees are one of the most important pollinators in this group but they aren’t the only ones. Your backyard garden is bound to have its native pollinators and your garden is a great way to coax them back into your life.

Everyone should have one or the other hobby. generally, we do not have any hobbies. They waste their leisure time in idle gossip. This is bad. They should try to have some hobbies. In this matter, they must not be guided by others but should select a hobby which suits their tastes and the circumstances of their lives. Pleasure is the chief end of a hobby, and so the best hobby is one that delights and recreates. We should plant flowers and trees and develop gardens for our future generations.

Human life is a colorful panorama of natural beauties and human development. In modern times, life is generally divided into city life and village life. Village life is full of beauties of Nature, simplicity, and purity. City life, on the other hand, is more developed, exciting and very fast.

In big cities, there are good arrangements for education. There are also a very large number of schools both government and private in the big city. The well-equipped and up-to-date college even universities are available. These arrangements do not exist in small towns and villages. Cities also provide sufficient medical facilities. Almost in every city, there are good hospitals in which the poor get free medicines and treatment. Many qualified doctors are also there to serve the sick and the suffering.

Cities also provide many opportunities for amusement and recreation. In every city, there are many cinema houses, many restaurants and hotels are available for better food of variety. There are also many parks and gardens where we can enjoy the best natural beauty. Villages are always lacking such facilities.

The most important advantages of cities are the availability of huge employment opportunity. They are centers of trade and commerce as well as offices of many multinational companies. Persons with different qualifications can easily find jobs to suit them. 

The city life of a big city is always growing and moving. Also, there are hundreds and thousands of opportunities for people in big cities to learn and grow. In addition, they provide a chance to grow professionally and personally. Due to the exposure in cities, people tend to be smarter, and intelligent in comparison to the people who live in small towns and villages. Besides, the life of the city is very fast and only people with smart minds can survive there.

The scope of personal growth and development is more in comparison to towns and villages. Also, these institutions give chances to each individual to participate in various activities and events that help them to explore their area of interest. Moreover, due to interaction with others, the children are more self-confident in their selves in comparison to a village or small city kids.

When you look at a city, it's like reading the hopes, aspirations, and pride of everyone who built it.

Women are the inherent and integral part of our society and cannot be neglected due to their less power and authority. They are created as a companion for men and men have to make her walk with them in the course of life.

The basic unit of society is a woman. A woman makes a family, the family makes a home and homes make a society. So we should never think that a society would come into existence without the contribution of women. We all know that without education, no development is possible. Here we have forgotten that the very first and best school of a child is its mother’s lap.

A good healthy society doesn’t automatically emerge on its own and stands firm but it needs to emerge and for its emergence women play a pivotal role. These all are the basic fundamentals of a good society and women are the main contributors in building up a strong society.

 2   Arabia, the origin of Islam, in pre-Islamic ages was wrapped all over by a blanket of evil deeds, wicked thoughts, and immorality. Women were the most affected during that time. They were treated like animals. They were only considered lesser beings. The newborn baby girls were buried alive as they thought girls were a curse for the family and society. With the advent of Islam, the women got the respect and status in the society that she ever deserved. It the woman who is a mother and Islam has taught us that “paradise lies under the feet of mother”. As a Muslim, from this, we can judge women’s respect and importance in our life and society.

3  The western countries have tremendously developed in all fields of life. Their education, their health departments, the departments of information technology are the in the highest rankings. In western countries, men and women are working shoulder to shoulder in the same pace and both are contributing and playing their parts equally in the developmental processes. Like this there is competition and where there is competition there is invention and invention leads to massive developments.

4.    Pakistan is an Islamic country and exists and functions in the context of its unique set of historical, social, economic and political circumstances. Women within Islamic boundaries can take part in all activities whether they belong to financial, national, international, social or domestic affairs. Women population of our country is greater than that of men population. If such a big portion of the population is kept behind, then it’s difficult to progress with due speed and we will obviously lag behind the developed countries. Pakistan is an underdeveloped country and most of its population is of the youth.

5. The role of Pakistani women in their families revolves around well-established conventions of male supremacy and female sub ordinance. Here the complete responsibility lies on the shoulders of the male to educate and encourage the females to step forward and to play their role in developmental processes. Women are not only for home-making and child-rearing. It’s a golden chance for Pakistan to rightly utilize the youth’s energies. Women are more productive than men; if in Pakistan they are given the right platform they will smoothly carry the nation towards development.

6. Pakistani women are now advancing in education and creating new platforms for themselves. They are not too behind than Western countries in any social, economic, political and even athletic competitions. To support my stance and validity, I have political examples of Fatima Jinnah, Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Their hardships and struggle are known by all and sundry. Marium Mukhtar will always have remembered as the first lady pilot of the Pakistan Air force.  Muniba Mazari, a differently abled woman, who shows a huge optimistic side of Pakistan with her motivational speeches is Pakistan’s first female Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

 Dr. Nergis Mavalvala, a Pakistan- born astrophysicist played a vital role in the discovery of gravitational waves. Syeda Ghulam Fatima was presented with the Clinton Global Citizen Awards 2015 for leadership and civil society. Even, as a child our women playing their roles like youngest IT professional and expert, Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa and Nobel Peace award winner, Malala Yousafzai. There are also many names, those who showed Pakistan’s positive and bright side and it also motivates us about this that if a woman is well equipped with the right education and have enthusiasm about her goal. She achieves everything that she desires.

In order for a society to be a pure society, both men and women should think, dress and behave in ways that allow pure thoughts and actions to dominate the way of life and create a social climate conducive to the achievement of the real goal of life.

                    A picnic can be defined as a short trip for enjoyment and recreation.  Recreation is the spending of time in pleasurable activities. Engaging ourselves in activities that invite happiness and peace of mind is nothing but recreation. Recreation can refresh break from the dull life routine. With the increasing pace of life, we have become too busy to take out time to peep into our self. We have no time to introspect. We have no time to interact. Recreation is an activity, rather an opportunity to take a break. the much-needed break from work.

“What is this life if, full of cure, we have no time to stand and stare?”

Recreation is like a rain shower during the days of something heat. It is like a ray of moonlight in the dreadful darkness. Recreation is moreover the time to get together to have fun. Developing sometime for recreation on a daily basis helps in the long run in maintaining health and achieving peace of mind. So, a picnic is also a part of the recreational activity. It is an integral part of our life.

Once my friends planned to visit the famous Tomb of Jahangir at Lahore. It was a place which many of us had not visited although we had heard a lot about it. On the appointed day we set out for Lahore and reached there at about 10 am. We decided to go to the tomb of Noor Jahan, the great queen of India first of all. Surrounded by beautiful parks, the front portion of the tomb presented a magnificent look which reminded me of the lovely line from Keats, a famous romantic poet.

“A thing of beauty is joy forever:”

The main building of the tomb did not appear to be looked after properly. We offered Fateha and proceeded to the arena where the great king of India lay buried.

“History is a cyclic poem written by time upon the memories of man”.

In a few moments, we reached the tomb of Jahangir. The moment we entered through the big gate and looked around, we were rather disappointed. We thought that the tomb was not such a marvelous affair as we had expected to be, but the surprise really waited for us. The entrance to the tomb is through 2 massive gates made of stone and masonry. Both the gateways face each other in the opposite direction in the north and south directions of the mausoleum. After the entrance, you will reach Akbari Sarai squared enclosure. It further leads to another enclosure towards the western side which enables the visitors to have a full view of the gardens. Then further down are the bricked canals in which a number of fountains were there but ruined completely a few years back.

The tomb itself is a one floor building having a unique square shape ground floor. The structure has a tall tower with a projecting entrance from all 4 sides. The 4 corners of the tower are 100 feet high and give a spectacular vision from a distance. It is an invaluable heritage which needs some good maintenance. The Tomb of Jahangir is adjoing  to the Akbari Sarai and Asif Khan’s Tomb which is on the provisional list as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

 As we move further, we went into a garden. We crossed the magnificent garden to the entrance of the tomb and instead of going decided to climb the towers first. From the tower, we could see the city of Lahore which lay as one mass of different colors, of different shades and different heights. It seemed as if the river Ravi was flowing right under our feet and the valley of the river in its broadness and bareness was picturesque indeed.

We enjoyed a lot. We came down from the tower, took our shoes off and walked into the main building of the tomb. The passage to the tomb was done in beautiful tiles with flowers in the best tradition of Mughal Style.

What surprised us most was the freshness and grandeur of the tomb which had been built more than three hundred years ago. It was awe-inspiring to see and feel that the place where we were three standing was actually the place like that fancy and imagination could be allowed run free. My own thoughts were wandering at that time. I was thinking

Then we went to the river of Ravi. It was flowing very peacefully. There were serenity and calmness everywhere. We spread a sheet and sat under a cool shady tree. Apart from a good company, nature helped us. The sky was overcast with clouds and the summer sun would not come out. There was a cool breeze indicating that somewhere not at a great distance it was raining. We decided to have a bath in the river. All of us were very good swimmers. Swimming is a very good exercise and we played as we swam in the river. It was really very interesting.

After the bath, we took our lunch after some time. After meals, we took rest for a while. We had a mind to play cards. But unfortunately, we had forgotten to bring cards with us. Then we decided to walk around the gardens and fields singing all the way to the mango tree. The ripe mangoes attracted our attention and we had them to our fill. After sometime we decided to return. We reached home at night and were feeling tired. We are very happy that we had a very enjoyable time of our life during the whole day.

The man has a nature of curiosity. He always engages with doing something unique. In the past century, they explored many fields. Sophisticated societies are dependent on mass media to deliver information. Marshall McLuhan has rightly called media “extensions of man.” By evaluating the information of varied kinds in society, mass media create awareness, generate debate and spread knowledge.

The media like newspapers, television, radio and the internet increase an overall awareness of the masses. They enhance the general knowledge by providing us with information from all over the world. News broadcast through different media helps us know about the day-to-day events in the world.

News, tele­films and documentaries revolving around social issues increase social awareness in society. They also contribute to the enhancement of our knowledge, language, and vocabulary. Quiz-based TV and radio shows, and the many programs on history, literature, science, philosophy and art and culture on channels like Discovery, BBC and the National Geographic contribute to the development of people’s minds and attitudes, widening knowledge and culture.

For instance, TV programs on health, agriculture, employment, especially those produced by PTV, have created awareness among people and motivated efforts to uplift men of the deprived in society. Programs have inspired people to tackle illness and disease and other problems in society.

Some talk shows on TV have had a similar impact, for instance, talk shows, and serials that deal with the ill-effects of practices like dowry, sati, child marriage, and drug abuse in society.

 Now students have a great opportunity to enhance their knowledge through accessing the internet. All the information on all topics is far beyond one touch of a button. Like Coursera, Academic Earth, Big Think, Khan Academy are the best online coaching websites. Through these sites, one can learn many courses without any fee and enjoy the expertise of the world-renowned teachers and scholars. Media brought the easiness and globalize the whole knowledge, provides vivid information and covers every aspect on a given topic. Moreover, it gives extensive options in selecting the desired knowledge.

Electronic media has revolutionized the information system. Now everyone can be aware of himself with current information and updates. Various TV channels in the country and internet websites justify the importance and advantages of electronic media where everyone has the freedom to exchange his viewpoint freely.

International politics are greatly influenced by the electronic media. It is said who will win the media war will be most successful. If we want to be dominant in the world, we will have to accept the challenge of electronic media otherwise we will be limping and looking at others.

 In businesses, diversity emanates from the ability of companies to work in different parts of the country or the world through the utilization of different communication tools. Thus, they benefit from global knowledge and expertise, manageable through electronic media.

Electronic media creates diversity in communication. Media such as the internet enables people to communicate with their beloved ones. In education, institutions utilize media in teaching through online class discussions, emails and videos to provide learning materials, hence, making distance and online learning possible for students around the globe to take place.

In Pakistan, social media becomes a powerful platform for the entire nation. It also helps us to spread awareness among the masses. Social media is now used as a powerful tool for education and communication. Many people brought to national fame with the help of social media. Now, social media is a public platform where everybody speaks of his heart and he can publish his posts.

 It also has some disadvantages for human beings. Firstly, it controls the masses’ opinion. Media has the power to mold the thinking and views of society. Secondly, it leads to the individualism of a person. People spend too much time on the internet and watching television. As a result, socialization with beloved ones is affected. Thirdly, some media contents are not suitable for children. Limiting children’s access to such content can be difficult.

Fourthly, the newspaper is geographically selective. The increase in advertisements on television and radio is making them less attractive. Internet as a form of media opens up possibilities of imposters, fraud, and hacking. Media can be addictive, e.g. some television programs and the internet. This can lead to a decrease in people’s productivity. Fifthly, Health problems. Prolonged watching of television can lead to eyesight problems and radio listening using earphones exposes one to possible hearing defects.

Lastly, it glamorizes drugs and alcohol. Some programs make the use of these things appear cool.

 In conclusion, electronics media is crucial in communication by people and societies worldwide, as it educates, informs and enables their participation in various perspectives. Although the media has many advantages. it also has its limits. It is up to us, the users, to decide to use it wisely for the best impact.
